It's open annually from the last week in March to mid-May. The best time to view the tulips is around mid-April, depending on the weather.

Scheveningen - The Lighthouse

The cast iron lighthouse of Scheveningen is an official monument of The Netherlands. It was built in 1875 and still functions as an official lighthouse, although since the advent of radar and decrease of portship of Scheveningen its greater purpose is to add to the tourist-characteristics of Scheveningen. The current lighthouse in Scheveningen was designed by Quirinus Harder. Light Height is 49 m, electrified since 05.12.1909, has 8 floors and 159 steps. Admission ticket are available at Muzee Scheveningen.

Scheveningen - The City

According to Wikipedia: "Scheveningen is one of the eight districts of The Hague, as well as a subdistrict (wijk) of that city. Scheveningen is a modern seaside resort with a long sandy beach, an esplanade, a pier, and a lighthouse. The beach is popular for water sports such as windsurfing and kiteboarding."

This sea-side resort was originally an independent fishing village, but soon came to be part of greater city of The Hague.

Scheveningen is divided into two districts:

Noorderstrand (Northern Beach) - The northern beach area is the most famous and is most touristic.
Zuiderstrand (Southern Beach) - The souther beach is more urban and there is usually less to do, but it may be less crowded on sunny days.

How to get there:

Tram 1 and Tram 9 run between the city centre of The Hague and Scheveningen Noorderstrand.
Bus 22 runs from The Hague's central train station to the northern beach.
Tram 11 runs between The Hague's second largest train station (Hollands Spoor) and the Zuiderstrand.

The circus has a 100 year old history and it is famous for its impressive musicals of Joop van den Ende. The building, with years grown into an impressive and stylish location is also ideal for daytime wide variety of purposes.

A had no possibility to visit the museum but I took a picture of each and every sculpture outside the museum. Take your time, have a look because you will see something amazing, something unique. These funny statues will make you remember them for the rest of your life.
